Rates/Insurance

Individual/Family Therapy

Rates

$125 per 55 minute session.

Reduced fees are available on a limited basis.

Insurance

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Community Care, Optum, UMR, UBH,  United Healthcare, Cigna and Health Choice insurance.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have?  If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Payment

I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged $50 for late cancellation fee.

Some benefits of paying out of pocket:

  • Some insurance companies can limit the number of therapy sessions you can receive in a year, regardless of what you may be dealing with.
  • Insurance companies typically require a diagnosis to determine if they will approve mental health services.
  • Insurance companies also have the right to audit your chart, including treatment plans and progress notes, which compromises your confidentiality.
  • By paying out of pocket, there is no set limit on the number of therapy sessions, a diagnosis is not required and your chart remains confidential.
